Byline: Mike Spellman Daily Herald Sports Writer Chicago Wolves rookie goaltender Kari Lehtonen, the second overall pick in the 2002 NHL draft, ranks eighth among the top 30 prospects in the AHL, according to a story on the league's Web site. Jonathan E. Mailoux of Sports Ticker writes, "despite being just 19, the 6-3, 190-pounder displays a confidence and calmness well beyond his years and seems to thrive under pressure." Mailoux, who factored in performance, draft status and potential to fill organizational needs, went on to write that Lehtonen "is an excellent skater and has good anticipation, but will need to work on his puck-handling, especially in the close confines of the smaller North American rinks."
