Byline: Mike Miazga Daily Herald Correspondent There is more than one member of the Garcia family that will be on the big stage this weekend. Elgin Community College sophomore and Streamwood High School graduate Omaira Garcia, the sister of current Streamwood cross country phenom Paulina Garcia, will be running at the NJCAA Division I/II Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kansas.
Paulina Garcia is running in the IHSA Class AA girls state meet Saturday in Peoria. Omaira Garcia reached the national meet after placing fourth at the Region IV meet last weekend.
