Daday Daily Herald Correspondent A rare sight could be seen along Lake-Cook and Buffalo Grove roads over the last few weeks: A farmer aboard an antique John Deere tractor pulled a two-bottom plow in the fields to prepare them for next spring's planting. It took Lanny Gray, 66, of Buffalo Grove weeks to accomplish it, but sitting on top of his 1937 John Deere two-cylinder tractor - with its familiar putt-putt engine - he felt as though he were back in his youth, growing up on the farm in western Iowa.
