Byline: Bob Frisk Offensive linemen in football have an enormous responsibility. They make heroes. They are the players who do the dirty work so others can get the glory. They are the blue collar guys who thrive on repetitive physical contact. They have been called the invisible men.

However, this group, more than any other on the field, needs to work together like the fingers on a hand. The linemen want their offensive teammates to gain yards, and when those yards pile up, the players in the trenches have good reason to be proud of their efforts.
