Byline: Nadia Malik Daily Herald Staff Writer A 24-year-old Des Plaines mother has been charged with endangering the life or health of a child, accused of leaving three children under the age of 4 home alone for an hour. Yenny Gomez, of 274 Dover Lane, went to run some errands with her sister and left her girls, ages 1, 2 and 3, with her mother, father and brother around 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Des Plaines police officer John Gitzinger said. An hour later, everyone but her father had to leave for work, and an hour after that he, too, was unable to stay with the children, Gitzinger said.
