Waller Daily Herald Staff Writer Shaking signs and periodically shouting "Barat!" about 300 students, faculty members and alumni gathered near the snow-covered front lawn of DePaul University's Barat campus in Lake Forest on Wednesday night to rally for keeping Barat and DePaul together.
Standing on the steps of Old Main in Lake Forest, about a dozen speakers expressed their views during a news conference and vigil. DePaul purchased Barat College in 2001, but a report by a DePaul task force commissioned by the university's board of trustees says there are concerns about Barat's academic and financial viability.
