Byline: Ken Glassman A relatively small, but growing segment of the motorcycling community is three-wheel motorcycles, or trikes. There are a number of companies throughout the U.S. and Canada who take large touring motorcycles, usually Harley-Davidsons or Honda Gold Wings, and convert them into three wheel machines that one can see popping up in ever greater numbers on the road and at rally's and events from coast to coast.

One of the major players in the trike conversion business is right in our own back yard. For nearly 20 years, DFT Trikes, located in Addison, designs, engineers, manufactures, and distributes conversion kits through a network of dealers throughout the country, as well as assembles complete trike conversions to service the Chicagoland...
