Byline: Matt Arado Daily Herald Staff Writer Like millions of Americans, Ray Meyer has logged hours of couch time during the past week watching the NCAA college basketball tournament on television. Unlike most of us, though, Meyer follows the games with the perspective and insight that only a legendary college coach can have.

Meyer, former DePaul University basketball coach and an Arlington Heights resident, said he's continually surprised by the grace and power of today's college athletes.
