Josephine Alongi of Schaumburg Prayers for Josephine Alongi (nee Reno), 79, formerly of Des Plaines, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. A Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 465 N. Benton St., Palatine.

Born April 20, 1924, in Chicago, she died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Survivors include her daughters, Katherine (Vito) Pietrarosso of Vermilion, Ohio, and Roxanne (the late Ronald) Smith of Palatine; grandchildren, Stephanie Steigerwald and Stacie (Jeff) Vallecorse; great-grandchild, Brooklyn Marie Vallecorse; sisters, Marie (the late Ron) Pearson and Delores...
