Byline: Gala M. Pierce Daily Herald Staff Writer For his first full-length feature film, Jose Gomez wants to tell the story of a young couple in love. They stumble upon a briefcase full of blood money - what they feel may fulfill their dreams. After finishing the script, the 30-year-old Geneva man thought his story resembled a more familiar tale.

"One day, I realized that I was subliminally or unconsciously making a modern retelling of 'MacBeth,'" he said. Gomez liked Orson Welles' film noir-like telling of "MacBeth" from the 1940s, and Roman Polanski's Medieval spin of the Shakespeare tale in the early '70s.
