Byline: Amy McLaughlin Daily Herald Staff Writer Des Plaines city officials met with officials from Rolling Meadows-based Prime Site Inc. Friday on the heels of a recent discovery that the company is still under contract to do real estate work for the city. Des Plaines' employment of Prime Site came under fire a few weeks ago after it came to light that the company employs a man convicted of taking bribes from a man reputed to be in the mob.
At the time, city officials said the company is no longer doing business with Des Plaines. But when city officials investigated further, they found a July 2003 letter extended Prime Site's contract to May 31. City officials are now investigating whether that is a valid extension and who approved it. City...
