Byline: Bob Gosman Daily Herald Correspondent College of Lake County sophomore center Erica Brown was a fixture in the gym over the last summer. "She did exercises to improve her strength and jumping ability," coach Bill Braman said. "There's no fun in that. That's hard work." Brown's hard work has paid off.
The 6-foot-1 Brown, a 2002 Antioch graduate who led CLC last season by averaging 16 points and 11 rebounds per game, earned a scholarship to Division I Southeastern Louisiana University. The school is located in Hammond, and the Lions play in the Southland Conference.
