Byline: Kari Allen Daily Herald Staff Writer With several Naperville proms right around the corner, local high school girls have been planning for the big day for months. They've made hair appointments, picked out just the right makeup and accessories. And, of course, they had to find the perfect dress.

That in itself has been a huge challenge for some students when most prom dresses come in two styles: strapless and spaghetti straps. Students who don't want to show so much skin sought more choices. Some girls succeeded by thinking creatively. Naperville North junior Melissa Quinn, for one, is going to her school's prom Friday but didn't find her dress in a local store. She's pairing a white top she bought at Banana Republic with a billowy pale...
