Barbara K. Brent of Winfield A memorial service for Barbara K. Brent, 52, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, at Gary Memorial United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St., Wheaton. The Rev. Ed Taveirne will officiate. Born Aug. 3, 1951, in Oak Park, she died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.

Ms. Brent worked for the DuPage County Probation Department as a probation officer. She was a member of the National Organization of Women, American Civil Liberties Union, the DuPage Women against Rape, the Young Women's Christian Association, and the National Homeless Coalition. Survivors include her life partner, Cameron Michaelson; son, Derek M. Wahl; mother, Irene G. Kusnierz; brothers, William (Lorraine) Kusnierz and David N. Kusnierz; and...
