Loyola seniors leave their mark.(Neighbor)

Byline: Eileen O. Daday Daily Herald Correspondent It was a bittersweet year for the Loyola Academy Ramblers. They started this school year stunned over the sudden death of their longtime football coach and athletic director, John Hoerster, who passed away in August. "John joined Loyola in 1987, and was, as the school motto says, a 'man for others' in every sense of the word," says Robin Hunt, Loyola spokesperson.
"His cheerful and booming refrain, 'It's a great day to be a Rambler!' will echo in our hearts and the Academy's hallways for years to come." In spite of their grief, Ramblers proved to be gamers, carrying on without him, and going on to make the 2003/04 academic year one of great accomplishments.
