Francis J. Murphy of Elk Grove Village Prayers for Francis J. Murphy, 68, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village. A Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Julian Eymard Church. Born in Pittsburgh, he died Saturday, July 3, 2004.

Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Mr. Murphy was an employee of United Airlines for more than 35 years. He was a member of VFW Post @#9294 and a founding member of the Elk Grove Soccer Club. He was a veteran, having served in the Air Force.
