John H. McCaslin D.V.M. 63 year resident of West Chicago Funeral services for John H. "Doc" McCaslin D.V.M., 86, will begin at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton, to St. Luke Catholic Church, Carol Stream, for 10 a.m.

Mass. Born Aug. 23, 1918, in Osceola, Pa., he died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at Central DuPage Hospital. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. John graduated from Middlesex University in Boston with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. He then settled in the Cloverdale area where he started his large animal veterinarian practice. John enlisted in the Army during World War II, and served in the China-Burma-India Theatre where he was a recipient of the Purple Heart award. He...
