The Ace Hardware Store at Wilson Street and Randall road in Batavia has teamed up with the Veterans Foundation of Illinois to support veterans through the sale of patriotic T-shirts, pins and other items. The store manager is Chuck Reuland. Proceeds from the sale of these items will allow the Veterans Foundation to support the troops serving overseas and provide relief to their families.
Other businesses interested in carrying support items may contact Ralph Gebes, troop support officer, at (630) 363-3646, or e-mail rgebes@@bataviafvfw.org. For more information about the foundation, visit the Web site at www.vfwil.org/foundation.
