Byline: Gala M. Pierce Daily Herald Staff Writer With Hurricane Frances devastating areas in Florida days after Hurricane Charley occurred, volunteers from all over the country are helping with relief efforts. The Washington, D.C.-based Federal Emergency Management Agency, as part of the U.S.
Department of Homeland Security, and the American Red Cross have rounded up nine people locally for training and deployments with several more on standby. The Kane County Office of Emergency Management recruited six members of the North Aurora Fire Department.
