Alvin W. Mateling of Wauconda Funeral services for Alvin W. Mateling, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road (one block west of Route 83), Oakbrook Terrace. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery. Alvin retired as operations manager after 36 years of service with AT&T Long Lines.

He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock, the Crystal Lake Senior Citizens and Woodstock V.F.W. Post @#5040. Alvin was active in the medicare fraud division of A.A.R.P. and also volunteered for the American Red Cross while residing in Pekin, Ill.
