Joseph V. Spicola of Palatine Prayers for Joseph V. Spicola, 75, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine. A Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Church. Interment will be private. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Born Dec. 1, 1928, in Chicago, he passed peacefully Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, after a short battle with cancer. A graduate of Loyola University, Joe enjoyed a successful career as president and owner of Graphic Innovations, Inc., a publishing company. Joe was a lover of life and was open to all new experiences. He particularly enjoyed traveling the world with his bride, listening to opera and classical music, golf, astronomy, nature, good food and drink...
