Stern, son of Sandra Lema-Stern and Steven D. Stern of Des Plaines, received a bachelor of arts degree with summa cum laude honors May 15 from Bradley University, Peoria.

To achieve this honor, a student must achieve a 3.8 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale. - Becky Michalski, daughter of Bob and Darlene Michalski of Des Plaines, received a Lutheran Heritage Award and a Valpo Gift Award from Valparaiso University.
