Byline: Bob Frisk Second in the nation. How does that sound? OK, first would sound even better, but second will do just fine, thank you. Dana Klemm had an outstanding career in the shot put at Warren High School, but she has stepped up big time at the next level. Now competing for Loras College (Dubuque, Iowa), Klemm finished second in the shot put (47-7 1/4) in the NCAA III National Indoor Championships.

She earned All-America honors. Klemm's throw was the third best in Loras College history. Klemm was a state qualifier in the shot put and discus at Warren, and she placed 12th in the state shot in 2003 after taking second at sectionals. - Abe Jones (Rolling Meadows) ran the lead leg on Illinois' 4x400-meter relay that placed 11th in the NCAA...
