Byline: Mike McGraw Daily Herald Sports Writer Today at the United Center, the Bulls and Washington Wizards will clasp hands and step into the unknown. Since the early days of the NBA, it would be difficult to find two opponents with so little playoff experience. There is a good reason for that.

The Bulls haven't reached the postseason since winning the 1998 NBA title. Washington's one and only playoff appearance in the last 17 seasons was a quick three- game sweep against the Bulls in 1997. The Bulls and Wizards were the second- and third-worst teams, respectively, in the league last year.
