Northern Illinois University senior, Burlington Central graduate and west Elgin native Dan Sheldon - coined Seabiscuit by former NIU teammate P.J. Fleck - has signed a free agent contract with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, and Sheldon has high hopes of returning punts in the NFL this fall.
"It's worked out great," Sheldon said Tuesday just after having his collarbone examined by his doctor. "It's a great place for me."
