United sets April capacity record ELK GROVE TOWNSHIP - United Airlines said it has set a record in April for load-factor, with flights averaging 80.1 percent full, slightly more than April 2004's 79.9 percent average. The bankrupt carrier had 44,284 scheduled takeoffs, down almost 12 percent from last year.

Capacity was down 4 percent, with scheduled revenue passenger miles falling 3.8 percent.
