Byline: Tom O'Konowitz Daily Herald Staff Writer Paula, Paula, Paula. Please, say it ain't so. ABC took on "American Idol" Wednesday with a much-hyped expose, claiming judge Paula Abdul seduced a 22-year-old contestant, gave him unfair advantages in the competition and tried to convince him to hide their relationship.

Abdul, the former pop star, Laker Girl and all-around sweetheart, denies allegations of a tawdry affair, levied by Corey Clark on "Fallen Idol," a special edition of "Primetime Live." As evidence, we heard a voice mail left for Clark by someone sounding an awful lot like Abdul warning him the media might be calling and that he shouldn't respond to their questions: "You say absolutely nothing; that's all you do. ...These people are...
