Byline: Tony Gordon Daily Herald Legal Affairs Writer A Waukegan woman who admitted suffocating her 2-month-old son was sentenced to 10 years in prison Wednesday in Lake County Circuit Court. Petrina Lee, 29, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter during a hearing before Circuit Judge James Booras.
Assistant State's Attorney Dan Kleinhubert said Lee was at her home at 1242 Greenfield Ave. with her son, Maximillian, on the night of Sept. 16, 2004. The baby began crying while lying on a couch with Lee, Kleinhubert said, and Lee held the infant against her shoulder until he stopped crying.
