Byline: C. L. Waller Daily Herald Staff Writer Like the wool suit you have in summer storage, DePaul University's Barat campus is officially mothballed today in Lake Forest. No ceremony, no parade, no tears. Just done. What happens to the 23-acre site is up to DePaul and Lake Forest. The largest Catholic university in the country announced in February 2004 it would stop operating the campus begun by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart in 1904.
"The ball is really in their court," Lake Forest City Manager Robert Kiely said. He hopes the property will not sit unused for long.
