Helen Marjorie Medendorp of Wheaton A memorial visitation for Helen Marjorie Medendorp, 76, will be held from 12 noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. today, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Interment will be private. Born Nov. 23, 1928, in Oak Park, to Fred and Helen Johansen, she died Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at home.

Helen grew up and attended high school in Oak Park. She married Alan Roy Medendorp in August of 1949, and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1950. After living in Monmouth, Ill. for two years, they moved to Wheaton in 1952. Helen and Alan joined First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, where she taught nursery school and participated in the Presbyterian Women's Circle. She loved homemaking, cooking and attending...
