Byline: Jon Davis Daily Herald Staff Writer A doctor who helped figure out what happens during heart attacks, a husband who carried on a 43-year love affair with his wife, of late a painter, and a lifelong Cleveland fan. Dr. Patrick J. Scanlon was all that and more, said his daughter, Elizabeth Scanlon Bils.
"He was a very moral, forthright person, he was a very caring person who really listened and read between the lines when you talked to him. He loved his grandchildren, he loved his children," she said. "He was very inspirational, too. He pushed us to do whatever it was we wanted to do."
