John E. Hartl of Hoffman Estates Funeral services for John E. Hartl, 57, will begin at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, then proceed to St. Benedict Church, 2215 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. He died Sunday, July 3, 2005. Mr. Hartl was a graduate of DePaul University with a B.S. in 1970 and from Roosevelt University with his M.S. in accounting with honors, in 1985. John was devoted to his family and they were his greatest joy. He was a man of quiet strength, sound judgement, easy humor, true compassion and deep, lasting friendships. He...
