Byline: Anna Marie Kukec Daily Herald Business Writer Sysmex America Inc., a maker of blood and urine test equipment for medical labs, said Thursday it would close a California plant in order to build a larger plant next to its Mundelein headquarters. The company plans to begin construction next spring on a $12 million state-of-the-art manufacturing plant.
The price includes construction and equipment costs. The plant is set to open in April 2007. "We plan to increase our sales on current products and also increase our product lines in the future," said company spokesman Ron Walczak.
