Planning can yield affordable housing Lake County United has been working for over a year to find ways to increase the availability of housing for working people and seniors in Lake County. Last year we conducted a survey of area residents with DePaul University. We learned that many Lake County residents worry about the lack of affordability of housing in their communities and want to see more diverse housing options available to them.
We believe there are solutions to this problem, including those mentioned in your recent editorial. Public officials and citizens can develop long-range housing plans - as many municipalities are now doing.
