Byline: Eileen O. Daday Daily Herald Correspondent Kimberly Priebe, 24, a native of Schaumburg calls it simply "wanderlust." Her love of travel and curiosity about other cultures already has taken her to India, Tibet and Nepal, and now she heads to another part of the world, to Ecuador.
The 1999 Schaumburg High School graduate, and 2003 Illinois Wesleyan alumna has been accepted as a volunteer teacher with WorldTeach, an organization based at Harvard University's Center of International Development. Priebe left Thursday for a one-year commitment to teach English at a community center in Vilcabamba, which is a small town in the southern tip of the country, with about 5,000 people and located about 20 miles south of the resort community of Loja.
