Byline: Russell Lissau Daily Herald Staff Writer The construction of an adults-only housing development on Mundelein's west side could begin this summer, developers told the village board Monday night. All that's needed to turn the proposed Grand Dominion subdivision into a reality are a slew of agreements covering annexation, zoning and other aspects of the plan.
Trustees on Monday unanimously voted to order administrators to prepare those documents. The plan from Pulte Homes calls for a Del Webb active-adult community on nearly 316 acres of land south of Route 176 and west of the Countryside Golf Course. The land is unincorporated now but would be annexed into Mundelein if the deal is approved. The development would consist of 727 single-family homes....
