Subaru B9 Tribeca gets more room with 2007 incarnation.(Auto Monday)

Byline: Morgan Shelton Medill News Service Despite the buzz about the prospective decline of the sport utility vehicle, it's still making a strong showing at this year's Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place. In a press preview Thursday, Subaru of America Inc.unveiled its first seven-passenger SUV, the 2007 B9 Tribeca.

Subaru of America Inc., Cherry Hill, N.J., is a subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan. The 2007 B9 Tribeca goes on sale in June. Dominick Infante, Subaru's manager of product public relations, said the company wants to appeal to consumers who are interested in mid-size SUVs.
