Byline: Justin Kmitch Daily Herald Staff Writer A 23-year-old Wood Dale man has been sentenced to three months in federal prison and fined $500 for his role in a November protest at a Columbus, Ga., military base. Buddy Bell, a DePaul University junior, was one of 17 School of the Americas Watch protesters who entered Fort Benning on Nov.

20 during a protest of the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, located inside the fort. The institute, formerly the School of the Americas, teaches military and law enforcement techniques to students from Canada, Latin America and some Caribbean nations.
