John Suh, Sushi X Daniel Suh, Victor Hotel Neither John nor Daniel Suh intended to become chefs - John was heading into the business world after graduating from the University of Wisconsin's Madison campus, and Daniel was pursuing a criminal justice degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Instead, John took a business plan he wrote at college and opened a restaurant, Wasabi Sushi, in Madison. John learned sushi preparation from his sushi chef; his younger brother Daniel joined the kitchen crew. They've been working together - John with sushi, Daniel with cooked foods - ever since.
