Cihlar hits all the right notes At the plate or in the band, Stars' senior carries big expectations.(Sports Extra)

Byline: Christine Bolin Daily Herald Sports Writer Steph Cihlar, a senior center fielder on the St. Charles North softball team, has no shame. In addition to being the North Stars' first batter and the leader in numerous stats, she also has another title - band geek. Cihlar, along with senior pitcher Christy Engel, are both in the marching band and have the two highest GPAs on the team.
Cihlar plays clarinet and Engel plays the saxophone. "I'm not ashamed," Cihlar said with a laugh of the band geek title. "Marching band is really fun, I love it. (Christy and I) talk about that sometimes, so we've been kind of deemed the band geeks." Perhaps an even better title Cihlar has is the North Stars' best player.
