Earl F. Slagle Jr. of Carol Stream A memorial service for Earl F. Slagle Jr., a resident of Windsor Park Manor, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, at Windsor Park Manor, 124 Windsor Park Drive, Carol Stream. Interment is private. Born Jan. 14, 1922, in St. Francisville, Ill., he died Saturday, March 4, at Windsor's Johnson Healthcare Center.

Earl was a graduate of Dixon High School in Dixon. He served in World War II in the Army Air Corps as a master sergeant in the European Theatre. He was the co-founder of E.F. Slagle and Son Commercial Printing in Dixon from 1945 until 1981. He was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, a Sea Scout and a licensed pilot.
