Robert Kumpf of Palatine Memorial Mass for Robert Kumpf, 75, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Theresa Church, 467 N. Benton St., Palatine. Born Feb. 20, 1931, in Peoria, Ill., he died Monday, March 6, 2006. Mr. Kumpf was an Air Force veteran and a graduate of Bradley University. He was a regional vice president with Prudential and then started his own business, Specialized Underwriting Services, which he operated for 20 years.

He was the beloved husband of Joy (nee Monteith); loving father of Gary (Diane) Kumpf, Laurie (Scott) Albers, Steve (Kim) Kumpf and the late Craig (Sophie) Kumpf; cherished grandfather of Jori, Ryan, Ashley and Sami; great-grandfather of Preston; and dear brother of Bill (Jane) Kumpf and the late Beatty (the late James) Shea.
