Byline: Emily Krone Daily Herald Staff Writer It's never too early to decide you want to be an actuary or a zoologist - or anything in between - according to career counselors at Elgin Area School District U-46. Career counseling traditionally has been reserved for high school seniors and college-age students.

But U-46 is offering the service to much younger students. The district employs two full-time career specialists at the middle school level.
