M. Gene Cruse a Wheaton resident for 20 years Prayers for M. Gene Cruse, 79, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton, proceeding to St. Daniel the Prophet Church, Wheaton, for a Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Winfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Mr. Cruse was a Navy veteran of World War II and a 1950 graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He served as deputy chief scout executive/national director of operations for the Boy Scouts of America in Dallas.
