Charles Lester Wimbley Charles Lester Wimbley was born Sept. 11, 1945, in Shorter, Ala., to the late Mabel (nee Simpson) Jackson and Jessie Wimbley. He died Monday, May 29, 2006, in Barrington. Charles attended Kalamazoo Central High School, where he enjoyed being on the wrestling and chess teams.

He graduated from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich., and obtained his MBA at Western Michigan University. He began his 36-year career in marketing management at The Upjohn Company in Kalamazoo. Throughout his successful career, Charles had the fortune to work with many prominent organizations and brands such as Scott Paper Co., Johnson Wax, Johnson & Johnson-Ortho Diagnostics, Johnson & Johnson- Chicopee and Burrell Advertising, befriending and mentoring many of...
