Velva I. Runchey The visitation for Velva I. Runchey (nee Johnson), 94, of Goshen, Ind. and formerly of Algona, Iowa, will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Monday, at the First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Nebraska St., Algona, Iowa. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Algona.

She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, Plymouth, Indiana Chapter. She was also a 4H leader for 12 years, a Red Cross volunteer for years and a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She was the wife of 44 years to the late Fernley; mother of Nancy (John) Stires of Inverness; grandmother of MaryCourtney (Sean) Scott of Burleson, Texas, 2nd Lt. JohnDavid Runchey, U.S. Army stationed in Baumholder, Germany, and EmmaLea Runchey of Inverness; and...
