Herbert Albert Swanson of Grayslake The funeral service for Mr. Herbert Albert Swanson, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville. Friends of the family may visit from 4 to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, in the funeral home. Born Jan. 2, 1926, in Chicago, to Herbert and Myrtle Swanson (nee Bostrom), he passed away Saturday morning, June 3, 2006, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Herbert served for the Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Rockbridge. He was also a 60-year member of the I.B.E.W. Local @#134. Surviving are his wife, Rita C.
