Byline: Lee Filas Daily Herald Staff Writer Ashley Willner had been Miss Lake County for less than a day, but she was already nervous about her next competition. The 19-year-old Lake Villa resident was crowned at the Lake County Fair Tuesday night and will compete at the Illinois State Fair in August.
"I'm a little nervous, but it looks like it'll be a lot of fun," she said Wednesday. "I hope I'll do well." Willner is a graduate of Grayslake High School and will be a sophomore this fall at DePaul University in Chicago. She is majoring in finance with a minor in real estate.
