'Stay the course' a recipe for disaster After the fourth year and more than 2,600 American men and women (not Bush's nor Cheney's daughters) dead, it is almost sickening to listen to this president - an arrogant man acting like a spoiled child from a wealthy family - express his deep and determined commitment to "stay the course" in Iraq.

Yes, the fourth year and last month, 3,500 Iraqis died violently, the highest monthly civilian toll so far since the war began. Do you believe that? And we're winning? And stay the course? Why are we in Iraq anyway? We didn't even ...
