Peter Kusulas Peter Kusulas, 65, of Fair Haven, N.J. died on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006. Peter was the son of Greek immigrants who emigrated as teenagers from the small mountain village of Anavryti above Sparta in Greece and later operated a luncheonette. Mr. Kusulas became an engineering manager at Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies.

His 37 years at ATT Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies spanned the heyday of United States telecommunications companies growth. A graduate electrical engineer from Rutgers University, he began work at Bell Labs, Holmdel, N.J., in 1963 on the earliest digital telephone system designed for customer premises.
